A multi decorated New York City policeman, John and JoiAnn, his wife of over 30 years, moved to Delaware following his forced retirement from NYPD due to an injury in the line of duty. His service record includes a bravery award for the rescue of a family from a high rise building fire.
John Marino served as Deputy Director of Delaware’s Forensic Science Laboratory responsible for providing the justice system with needed forensic data. His state service included the Criminal Justice Council and the Delaware Child Death Review Board. John has been a community volunteer in everything from coaching various sports teams to serving at Children’s Hospitals to the President of his local community maintenance association. He has been an active member of Attack Addiction seeking to help those fighting the scourges of addiction.
John and JoiAnn have three children and four grandchildren.
